With Shu Di Huang, for Heat symptoms due to Yin Deficiency and Devastated Blood.
Rx. Rehmanniae Preparata Shu Di Huang 2-10g Nourishes the Blood, nourishes Liver and Kidney Yin and nourishes Jing.
With Dang Gui, for Blood Deficiency marked by dizziness, palpitations, insomnia and menstrual dysfunction.
Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 2-10g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
With Shu Di Huang, for Heat symptoms due to Yin Deficiency and Devastated Blood.
Sm. Cannabis Huo Ma Ren 2-10g Nourishes, moistens and lubricates the Intestines and nourishes the Yin.
With Tao Ren and Dang Gui, for habitual constipation.
With Dang Gui and Shu Di Huang, for constipation due to lack of fluids and Blood Deficiency, especially in the elderly and postpartum.
With Tao Ren and Dang Gui, for habitual constipation.
With Da Huang, Hou Po and Zhi Shi, for severe constipation due to general Deficiency.
Sm. Persicae Tao Ren 2-10g Breaks up Blood Stasis, invigorates Blood circulation, moistens the Intestines and unblocks the bowels.

With Huo Ma Ren and Dang Gui, for constipation due to Deficient Qi and dry Intestines.
With Tao Ren, for constipation due Lung Qi Stagnation.
With Huo Ma Ren, Da Huang and Zhi Ke, for constipation due to Deficiency or Qi, Blood and/or Body fluids.
Fr. Aurantii Zhi Ke 2-10g Promotes the movement of Qi, reduces distention and pressure and resolves hardening.

With Zhi Shi, for abdominal or chest distention, focal epigastric distention, wheezing, shortness of breath nausea, rebellious Qi or constipation from Cold, Heat, Dampness or Phlegm as long as clumped Qi is at the root of the problem.
With Zhi Shi and Da Huang, for relatively severe accumulation and Stagnation with abdominal distention and pain and constipation.
Rx. et Rz. Rhei Da Huang 2-10g Drains Heat, purges accumulations, invigorates the Blood and dispels Blood Stasis.
With Huo Ma Ren and Xing Ren, for moderate constipation and habitual constipation with Deficiency.
With Dang Gui, for Blood Stasis.
With Sheng Di Huang, for parched, dry stools with damaged Yin.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 1-5g Moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
