Rx. Ophiopogonis Mai Men Dong 2-15g Nourishes Stomach Yin, generates fluids, eliminates irritability and promotes urination.
Sm. Plantaginis Che Qian Zi 2-15g Promotes urination and clears Heat.
Cx. Lycii Di Gu Pi 2-15g Cools the Blood, drains Yin Deficiency Fire, drains Floating Fire in the Kidney channel and clears and Drains Heat in the Lung.
With Huang Qin, for Blood Deficiency, Steaming Bone Disorder, or other recurrent afternoon fevers.
Rx. Ginseng Ren Shen 3-22.5g Tonifies Yuan Qi, Spleen and Stomach Qi, Lung Qi and Heart Qi. calms the Spirit, generates Body Fluids and stops thirst.
With Huang Qi, for Lung Qi Deficiency.
(Rx. Pseudostellariae) (Tai Zi Shen) (3-22.5g) (May substitute for Ren Shen.)
Sm. Nelumbinis Lian Zi 3-22.5g Tonifies the Spleen and Kidneys, astringes Jing, nourishes the Heart and calms the Spirit.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 2-15g Clears Lung Heat, dries Dampness, drains Fire and detoxifies.
Rx. Astragali Huang Qi 3-15g Strengthens the Spleen, tonifies Qi, generates Body Fluids, tonifies the Lungs (aids circulation of moisture downward from the face. promotes urination, reduces edema and expels toxins.
With Ren Shen, for Qi Deficiency with general debility, anorexia and spontaneous sweat.
Poria Fu Ling 3-22.5g Promotes urination, resolves Dampness, strengthens the Spleen and Harmonizes the Middle Jiao.
With Che Qian Zi, for Lin Syndrome, especially Milky Lin.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae (Preparata) (Zhi) Gan Cao 2-15g Tonifies the Spleen Qi, moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops cough, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and moderates and harmonizes the properties of other herbs.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Contraindicated for those with Lin Syndrome or leukorrhea due to Damp-Heat in the Liver and Gallbladder.
