Rx. Linderae Wu Yao 12-30g Promotes movement of Qi and alleviates pain.
With Xiang Fu, for Qi and Blood Stagnation with menstrual irregularity, pain in the lower abdomen and generalized pain and distention throughout the body.
Fr. Amomi Sha Ren 6-30g Promotes the movement of Qi, aromatically transforms Dampness, strengthens the Spleen and stops vomiting Warms the Middle and stops diarrhea
Rx. Aucklandiae Mu Xiang 6-30g Promotes the movement of Qi, alleviates pain and adjusts and regulates stagnant Qi in the Intestines.
With Sha Ren, for distention, epigastric and abdominal pain, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dysentery, or tenesmus due to Qi Obstruction and/or Food Stagnation.
With Wu Yao, for lower abdominal Coldness and pain.
Rz. Corydalis Yan Hu Suo 9-30g Invigorates the Blood, circulates Qi, stops pain.
Dry-Fried Rz. Cyperi Chao Xiang Fu 9-60g Spreads and regulates Liver Qi, regulates menstruation and alleviates pain.
With Sha Ren and Mu Xiang, for ulcer and digestive disturbance.
With Yan Hu Suo, treats everything from Liver Qi Stagnation to Deep Blood Stasis with pain anywhere in the body including stabbing chest pain, distending pain in the breast, Cold pain in the epigastrium, pain due to bulging disorder in the lower body and dysmenorrhea.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Contraindicated for those with Liver and Kidney Deficiency, where pain is usually worse after or during the later stages of menstruation.
HERB/DRUG INTERACTIONS
For pronounced Cold or for bulging disorders: For more severe Blood stasis with dark, scanty menses and clotting:
+ Fr. Foeniculi Xiao Hui Xiang
+ Fr. Evodiae Wu Zhu Yu + Pollen Typhae Pu Huang
For distending pain over the hypochondrium, worse at night and varies with emotional changes:
+ Faeces Trogopterori Wu Ling Zhi
For dysmenorrhea:

+ Squama Manitis Chuan Shan Jia - Rx. Aucklandiae Mu Xiang
