Sm. Coicis Yi Yi Ren 30g Strengthens the Spleen, resolves Dampness, clears Damp-Heat, clears Heat and expels pus.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 9g Opens the Lungs, spreads Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, benefits the throat, expels pus and opens and raises Lung Qi, directing the effects of other herbs to the upper body.
With Gan Cao, disseminates Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, resolves toxicity, and expels pus for productive cough with hoarseness, pain and swelling of the throat due to Wind-Heat and treats Lung abscess with expectoration of pus and pain in the chest and flanks.
With Gan Cao and Yi Yi Ren, for Lung abscess with chest pain, fever, cough with foul-smelling, yellow, sticky sputum.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 9g Moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops cough, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
With Jie Geng, for pain and swelling of the throat.
Fr. Trichosanthis Gua Lou 15g Clears Lung Heat, transforms Hot Phlegm, reduces abscesses, dissipates nodules and eliminates pus.
Rz. Bolbostemmae Tu Bei Mu 10g Clears Heat, disperses Stagnation, and reduces sores and swelling.
Sm. Sinapis Alba Bai Jie Zi 10g Warms the Lungs, regulates Qi, expels Phlegm, promotes Qi movement, dissipates nodules, unblocks the collaterals and alleviates pain.
Cornu Cervi Degelatinatum Lu Jiao Shuang 10g Tonifies and nourishes Qi and Blood and heals chronic and heals chronic Yin sores and boils.
Fr. Forsythiae Lian Qiao 15g Clears Heat (especially in the Upper Jiao), relieves toxicity, reduces abscesses, dissipates clumps and clears Blood Heat.
Flos. Lonicerae Jin Yin Hua 30g Clears Heat and resolves Fire toxicity and vents and disperses External Wind-Heat.
With Lian Qiao, for various Heat disorders (Exterior, Interior Qi, Blood).
With Gan Cao, for toxic swelling and sores.

  • Cranial nerve involvement is reflected by:
    Paralysis of the eyeball
    Facial hypothesia or hypoalgesia
    Difficulty opening the mouth
    Inclination of the tongue when it protrudes
    Aphasia
    Paralysis of the soft palate
    Disappearance of the gullet response
