Rx. Bupleuri Chai Hu 15g Resolves Shao Yang, disorders reduces fever, disperses Wind-Heat and resolves Phlegm and congestion.
With Huang Qin, for Heat in the Shao Yang.
With Gan Cao, for Wind-Heat fever.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 9g Clears Heat, dries Dampness, drains Fire and detoxifies.
With Zhi Zi, powerfully clears and drains lurking Heat from the Lungs with fever, fullness in the chest, cough with yellow sputum and epistaxis or hematemesis.
Cx. Mori Sang Bai Pi 9g Drains Heat from the Lungs, stops cough and calms wheezing.
With Huang Qin, drains Heat from the Lungs, and stops cough and wheezing.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 9g Opens the Lungs, spreads Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, benefits the throat and opens and raises Lung Qi, directing the effects of other herbs to the upper body.
With Gan Cao and Huang Qin, for hoarseness, pain and swelling of the throat due to Wind-Heat.
Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 7.5g Clears Heat, reduces Fire and eliminates irritability.
Gypsum Fibrosum Shi Gao 15g Clears Excess Heat from the Lungs.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 3g Moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops cough, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
With Jie Geng, for pain and swelling of the throat.
