Rx. Bupleuri Chai Hu 5-20g Resolves the Shao Yang, disperses Wind-Heat, reduces fever, spreads Liver Qi and relieves Stagnation.
With Huang Qin, restores the normal functioning of the Liver and Gallbladder and treats Heat in the Shao Yang.
With Huang Qin and Zhi Ban Xia, for Shao Yang disorders with alternating chills and fever and a sensation of fullness in the hypochondria and chest
With Huang Qin, Ren Shen and Zhi Ban Xia, for Heat in the Shao Yang.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 2.5-15g Clears Lung Heat, drains Fire, dries Dampness and calms ascending Liver Yang.
With Da Huang, for constipation.
Rz. Pinelliae Preparatum Zhi Ban Xia 4-15g Descends rebellious Qi, dries Dampness, transforms Phlegm and assists Chai Hu and Huang Qin in resolving the Shao Yang.
With Fu Ling, transforms fluids and opens the diaphragm.
With Sheng Jiang, for vomiting due to Cold, thin mucus.
With Huang Qin, for Phlegm-Heat induced Rebellious Qi with cough, nausea, and vomiting.
Rx. Ginseng Ren Shen 2.5-8g Tonifies Qi, improves Wei Qi, tonifies Qi in Deficiency patients with Exterior conditions and calms the Spirit.
With Fu Ling, strengthens and protects the Spleen.

Rz. Zingiberis Recens Sheng Jiang 2.5-8g Releases the exterior, disperses Cold, warms the Middle, stops vomiting, warms the Lungs, stops cough, reduces the toxicity of other herbs and adjusts the Ying and Wei.

Ram. Cinnamomi Gui Zhi 2.5-8g Releases the exterior, assists the Yang to relieve sensations of heaviness, adjusts the Ying and We, releases the muscle layer, warms the channels and collaterals to relieve pain, warms and facilitates the flow of Qi through the channels and collaterals and Blood through the vessels and warms the Middle and directs Turbid Yin downward.

Fossilia Ossis Mastodi Long Gu 2.5-30g Settles anxiety and calms the Spirit, calms the Liver and anchors and preserves floating Yang.
Concha Ostreae Mu Li 2.5-30g Heavily settles and calms the Spirit, calms the Liver, benefits Yin and anchors floating Yang.
With Long Gu and Qian Dan, calms the Spirit.

  • Do not use for Deficiency conditions.
